Where does the feed get its winners from?
It reads winners from WooCommerce Lottery Pick Number instant wins (including older stored instant wins), the Spin Wheel add-on and the Scratch Card add-on. All wins are combined and shown newest first.
Do I need the Pulse Garage theme?
No. The shortcode works on any WordPress theme. With Pulse Garage, the feed appears on its own as a scrolling strip under the home page hero, and you set it up under Appearance > Customize > Live Feed.
Will it show my customers' full names?
No. Names are shortened to the first name and last initial, for example "Ana Brown" becomes "Ana B.". If a name is an email address, the part after the @ is removed.
How often does the feed update?
Every 10 seconds by default. You can change this with the refresh option (minimum 5 seconds). On data-saver connections it refreshes less often.
Will it slow down my site?
No. Winners are cached for 10 seconds and shared by every visitor, so only one request rebuilds the list. Refreshes only send new HTML when the winners have changed, and polling pauses when the tab is hidden or the feed is off screen.
Does it work with page caching plugins?
Yes. The refresh request doesn't rely on a nonce, so the feed keeps updating on fully cached pages.
Are "no win" results shown?
No. Results such as "No win", "No prize" and "Better luck next time" are left out automatically.
Can I put the feed on any page?
Yes. Add [rwd_live_feed] for the list layout or [rwd_live_feed layout="ticker"] for the scrolling strip.
Can I control how many cards show on mobile?
Yes. Set cards per screen for desktop, tablet and mobile separately (1 to 8, decimals allowed, e.g. 1.6 to show part of the next card).
What happens if there are no winners yet?
The list layout shows "No winners yet." and the ticker stays hidden until the first win comes in.
Does it use my site's timezone?
Yes. All dates, the "time ago" labels and the 24-hour count use the timezone set under Settings > General.
Does it support accessibility and reduced motion?
Yes. The ticker can be scrolled with the keyboard and pauses on focus. Auto-scroll and the new-win animations are turned off for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
